Image Generation
Generate images from text prompts using distributed compute
The image generation interface at /image lets you create images from text descriptions. Like chat, image generation jobs are dispatched to Islands on the network and results stream back to your browser.
Generating an image
- Navigate to
/image - Enter a text prompt, or click one of the example prompt suggestions shown in the empty state
- Adjust parameters (size, steps) using the controls below the prompt
- Click Generate
- The image renders as the Island completes the job
Parameters

| Negative prompt | What to exclude from the image (optional) |
| Steps | Number of diffusion steps — more steps = higher quality but slower |
| Size | Output image dimensions |
| Seed | Random seed for reproducible results (optional) |
Credit costs
Image generation is more resource-intensive than chat:

|---|---|
| Standard | 10–25 credits per image |
| High quality (more steps) | 25–50 credits per image |
Exact costs depend on the resolution, step count, and model used.

- Credits in your balance
- Identity verification — required for image generation (no free tier)
KYC required
Identity verification is required for all image generation. There is no free tier for this feature due to content safety requirements.Generated images
- Images are displayed inline in the output panel after generation
- You can download or copy the URL of generated images
- Generation history (last 10) is shown as thumbnails — click to re-view
- If generation fails, an error message with a “Try Again” button appears in the output panel
- When your credit balance is low (< 10 credits), a nudge with a link to buy more is shown
